Tour 2008 Exploration

Spirit of America Band presents its newest show, Exploration, under the lights in New Bedford, North Dartmouth, Dennis-Yarmouth, Orleans and Plymouth, and marches in Cape Cod Independence Day parades, from June 28 – July 5.

EXPLORATION bis a dynamic show of music in motion, with brass, woodwinds, percussion and color guard, featuring the passionate music of Alberto Ginastera, Joseph Curiale, Charles Young, and Heitor Villa-Lobos. Through Exploration, Spirit of America will take you on a musical and visual, life-changing journey into the unknown. Come and hear the call. Risk the departure. Experience the moments of clarity and the strife of indecision. Know the reward of peace at the end of the road!

Korea 2006   |   A Quest for Honor: The Wind Opera

From August 1 - August 21, 2006, Spirit of America band traveled to South Korea.
With their field show “Honor,” the band won first place and became World Champions, representing the United States at the World Association of Marching Show Bands Championship in Jeju, Korea, the "Peace Island."

Prior to the competition in Jeju, the band spent nine days touring Korea, presenting the world premiere of the Wind Opera "A Quest for Honor" in theaters and concert halls.
The tour included a field show performance at the LG Twins Baseball Game in Seoul, performances of “Quest for Honor” at the Daegu Opera House, Daegu; Daejeon Culture and Arts Center, Daejeon; Chungmu Art Hall, Seoul; and both the field show and wind opera at the USO Yongsan U.S. Military Base, Seoul.
