EXPLORATION is a dynamic show of music in motion, with brass, woodwinds, percussion and color guard, featuring the passionate music of Alberto Ginastera, Joseph Curiale, Charles Young, and Heitor Villa-Lobos. Through Exploration, Spirit of America will take you on a musical and visual, life-changing journey into the unknown. Come and hear the call. Risk the departure. Experience the moments of clarity and the strife of indecision. Know the reward of peace at the end of the road! |

Spirit of America Winter Percussion Final Exhibition |
Before Winter Guard International Finals
Spirit of America Winter Percussion ensemble has begun their season of competition. The twenty-three young musicians who make up this ensemble range in age from eleven to twenty-two.
This year's dynamic show of percussion in motion is entitled In the Beginning...Light, Sky, Earth, and is based on the first three days of Creation.
Day One is the creation of light and its separation from darkness; Day Two is the creation of the Sky and separation of the firmament; and Day Three expresses God's joy in creating the Land and the Earth. The music and choreography reflect the intensity and expansiveness of these first days.
Winter Percussion requires long hours of practice and a deep level of personal commitment. In addition, the young people have worked hard to meet their financial goal in creative ways and are announcing their upcoming exhibition and dessert auction. Come Cheer them on!
