The teamwork and comaraderie...working together in a way that nothing else requires, and getting close to people because of that.
Favorite aspect of color guard
Putting together music and flow of the equipment (flag, rifle, sabre) with the dance, and then doing it all to music...it's really exhilarating.
Most thrilling moment
Going to Korea in August 2006 and winning the World Championship, performing the Wind Opera in stunning opera houses for tons of Korean kids. Also performing in Orleans, MA for huge home crowds under the lights.
Favorite activity outside of band
Playing the organ; sports, especially tennis. |
